BIBLE STUDY: New Proposed Class! “The Book of Mark and The Book of Revelation: Tough Talk for Tough Times” Starting in Advent and Ending in Lent, Stay tuned for more information about this proposed Bible study group The liturgical year 2008-2009 is a Marcan Year; that is, the whole Church will be reading from the Gospel of Mark. Mark and Revelation were written close to each other in time and in style, and have some tough things to say about the Faith, the world, and our place in time. Gaining an understanding of the texts and what the Roman Catholic Church really teaches about them is important, hope-building, and stabilizing during times of turmoil. A lively format and fresh insights will be employed in this Bible study group, as well as guest scholars and speakers.
