If you would like to have Holy Mass celebrated for your intentions, or for your loved ones, (living or dead), please contact the Parish Office. 91st ANNIVERSARY OF APPARITION OF OUR LADY AT FATIMA; 1917—2007 Every year from May to October in many Catholic Parishes around the world, Catholics celebrate the anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady to three Portuguese children: Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia. We plan to celebrate Fatima Services in our church every month with Holy Mass, the Rosary in different languages, and a candlelight procession. The Fatima Service will be next week on Sunday, July 13th 2007 at 7.30PM. Please save this date and inform others. If you speak other languages, please call Fr Stan (510-482-0596) Text Box: Sunday Scripture A cross carried willingly is a burden no more. The yoke of Christ is not really a yoke but a bond of love. It joins us to him and, through him, to our loving Father in heaven. The rule of life that he asks us to keep, if we are loyal followers of his, is not a series of prohibitions and don’ts. It is, rather, a succession of sign posts on the road to heaven, making our journey easier and safer. In today’s first reading, we are reminded that the Holy Spirit dwells in us to bring our mortal bodies to new life. In the Gospel, Jesus offers praise to the Father for all that has been revealed to the merest children, but hidden from the learned. Jesus tells us to come to Him, He will refresh us.
