She lives only 0.9 miles from our church. We need more volunteers to give her a ride. The more volunteers we have, the better. If some of you would like to help her, please contact Fr Stanislaw at 510-482-0596, ext. 202.

The Chautauqua celebration, which is a multicultural annual diocesan celebration sponsored by the 14 Ethnic Centers of the Diocese, will take place on Saturday October 2, 10:00am to 4:30pm at St. Joseph the Worker in Berkeley. This is a beautiful way to see the universality of the Catholic Church.
A new fund to pay the educational expenses of the Oakland Diocese seminarians has been created called the 'Seminarian Education Fund'. The founding contribution of $28,000 was given in the names of Father Joseph and Monsignor Adams - both Oakland Diocese Priests who passed away this year.
You can get more information on this fund by e-mailing John Burkart at:
john.burkart@sbcglobal.net. The fund was just started so the information will soon be available on the web as well as via numerous parish/diocese groups.
A few weeks ago, heavy rain in Southwestern Poland destroyed many villages and towns. Some people drowned. Thousands of people lost everything; all their possessions. No electricity, no drinking water. All crops were destroyed. People from around the world are trying to help them in these difficult times.
In the back of the church we have collection boxes. Please help as much as you can. Write checks for St. Margaret Mary with memo: “Help to Poland”. All the victims pray for all their benefactors. Money will be send to “CARITAS POLSKA” - charitable agency of the Polish Conference of Catholic Bishops. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY AND SUPPORT.
