Text Box: Sunday Scripture

We are stewards of God-given blessings and must use our temporal goods for eternal gain.
We are servants of a benevolent Master who has entrusted us with a stewardship of blessings. Our God-given gifts are not for increased temporal gain but to be used to build up eternal blessings. Knowing that we will be held accountable for our stewardship, we must be prudent children of light, who plan ahead for an eternal dwelling. Amos chastises the greedy who abuse those less fortunate for personal gain; God knows of their actions. Paul calls for people to pray for everyone, especially those in authority. Jesus gives a parable that challenges his followers to see the use of earthly goods as a means to acquire heaven.

This week’s second collection will be for the Diocesan Assessment & Insurance.  Last weeks 2nd collection for the Holy Father (Peter’s Pence) totaled $1,343.00. Next week’s 2nd collection will be for SVdPS.
