Tuesday, Friday, second and fourth Sundays

Next week of 18/19 September all parishes of our diocese will take up the Peterís Pence Collection, which provides the Holy Father with the assistance he needs to carry out his most important charitable works.
The proceeds benefit the most disadvantaged: victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Through your generosity, with Pope Benedict we can cast the love of Christ upon the world. Please, be generous.

September 23 Ė St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, Cappuchin Priest, born in a small Italian village, spent 50 years in the monastery of San Giovanni Rotondo, where he was much sought after as a spiritual advisor, confessor and intercessor. His life was devoted to the Holy Eucharist and prayer. In 1946 he told to young polish priest, Karol Wojtyla, that one day he will be a pope. Pope John Paul II beatified him and canonized and announced his inclusion in the General Roman Calendar as an obligatory memorial, in June 2002.
This Sunday, September 19th; during 10.30 Mass a Reliquary Cross will be blessed and after the Holy Mass will be blessing with his relics and veneration.

Text Box: Sunday Scripture
God is to be the Master of our lives and hearts. Whether we are aware of it or not, each of us has a master in our lives. This could be God, money or seeking the approval of others. Our Lord taught that if we try to serve more than one master we will be at odds with ourselves. So that we may have God's peace in our lives, let us strive always to make God the master of our lives.
The reading from Amos reminds us of our duty and obligation to act justly and to serve the needs of the poor. Our second reading exhorts us to pray for all people, that they may come to knowledge of the truth, for God wills everyone to be saved. In the Gospel, Jesus teaches that no one can serve both God and mammon.
