Text Box: Sunday Scripture
Now we must celebrate and rejoice. Whenever we gather in prayer as a Christian community we are called to celebrate and rejoice, just as the merciful father ordered in today's Gospel. As we celebrate and rejoice in the Lord Jesus, may we listen to God's word, grow in holiness as he strengthens us and seek the forgiveness that only our heavenly Father can offer us. In today's first reading, God offers mercy and kindness to the Jews after they rebelled against him. Paul, in the second reading, tells of his gratefulness to Jesus Christ. Today's Gospel is the familiar parable of the prodigal son.

This week’s second collection will be for the Holy Father (Peter’s Pence).  Last weeks 2nd collection for the Bishop’s Appeal totaled $1,078.35. Next week’s 2nd collection will be for Assessments & Insurance.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
