Text Box: Sunday Scripture
Generosity of spirit comes from knowing our own place. Jesus warns his disciples of presuming to take the place of honor at the wedding feast. For the Christian, the generous heart is the one that sees itself as it really is, as a sinner like all others. Therefore, rather than seeking their own wants, the generous person serves others with a preference for the poor and the sick. The first reading from Sirach tells us that God is glorified by the humble. The humble see the reality of whom they are. In the second reading from Hebrews we discover we are striving for something far greater than ourselves. Therefore, as Jesus says in Luke's Gospel, those who humble themselves and know their place will be exalted.

This week’s second collection will be for the Building Fund.

Last week’s 2nd collection for Diocesan Assessments and Insurance totaled $ 976.00.

Next week’s 2nd collection will be for the Bishop’s Appeal.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
