Text Box: Sunday Scripture

We need to see Jesus working in our lives more clearly. Being a follower of Jesus means that we are not alone on our life's journey. We are given guidance, direction, and support as we face the challenges of our human life. God's love and compassion surround us as we seek to see the right path and avoid being blinded by selfishness and sin. In the first reading, we are given assurance that God will guide our ways into the security of His heart. The second reading identifies Jesus as a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek. In the Gospel, the blind beggar Bartimaeus is persistent as he cries out to Jesus. Because of his faith, Jesus restores his sight.
