Communion at the Divine Liturgy, our greatest form of worship and thanksgiving to Almighty God.  Those who have pre-disposed themselves (through fasting, moral readiness, etc.) and who share our Catholic faith, regardless of ritual church (e.g. Byzantine Catholic, Roman Catholic), are invited to approach the altar if you are Catholic and in the state of Grace and receive the Divine Eucharist.

       To receive the Most Holy body and the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, just approach the Priest with your arms folded in the form of St. Andrew's Cross (X),

When approaching the priest:

1)  Bow and cross yourself;

2)  Move immediately in front of the priest;

3)  Stand straight and do not bend your knees;

4)  Hold the red cloth to your chin with both hands;

5) Tilt your head back slightly (do not close your    eyes); and

Open your mouth widely but do not extend your tongue.

       The priest will bring a small spoon to your mouth and gently place the Eucharist into it.  There is no need for you to say “Amen” at this time.  Wait for the priest to bring his hand away from your face then close your mouth, step aside, bow and cross yourself, and return to your place.

       "Holy Communion" is given under both forms, “Precious Body and Blood”, using a golden spoon. The spoon simplifies things for us, since we use leavened bread, (baked with a special recipe and marked with special markings - and called prosphora).  Communion "in the hand" is NOT an option.

FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING IN THE EXTRAORDINARY RITE, SUNDAY, OCT. 26

       On the last Sunday in October  in the Tridentine Rite Calendar, we will celebrate the Solemnity of Christ the King. This is the principal feast of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. On that day we will give “great honor and glory to Our Lord and King, the Founder of the Church” (PP Pius XI.)

       In the pews you can find special envelopes to support the Seminary of the Institute. Place this donation in the special Box in the Vestibule of the church and at the side entrance.

ALL SAINTS  &  ALL SOULS  (Nov. 1st & 2nd)

       The Feast of All Saints is one of the greatest of all the feasts because it celebrates what could have been impossible. The Holy Masses on that day in our church: 8.00AM(E.), 10.00AM(Tridentine) & 12.00Noon - Novus Ordo Latin Mass. 5.00PM(E.) will be Vigil of the All Souls.

ALL SOULS

       The Church has encouraged prayer for the dead from the earliest times as an act of Christian charity.

In our church on that day we will celebrate 2 Requiem Masses: 8.30AM & 10.30AM. Extraordinary Rite will celebrate All Souls Day on Monday, November 3rd.

       During the month of November, we will pray every day 1 decade of the Rosary after the Novus Ordo Holy Masses for all the faithful departed and a Novena (9 days) of Holy Masses will be said for their intentions.

       We sent letters to all our registered parishioners with special forms for these Holy Masses. Additional forms with a schedule of these Holy Masses are available at all church entrances.

       During the first 8 days of November, you can receive a Plenary Indulgence and offer this indulgence for the deceased. The doctrine and practice of indulgences in the Church are closely linked to the effects of the Sacrament of Penance. More information. TBA
