After all Novus Ordo Masses will be veneration of relics of the Blessed John Paul II. Let us pray for his Canonization.

October is the traditional month of universal mission; the Mission Sunday collection takes place around the world in October each year in every single Church throughout the world, including the poorest, and these donations are used to assist missionaries and to fund a range of pastoral projects in Young Churches.
The theme for Mission Month and Mission Sunday 2011 is: "As the Father Has Sent Me, So I Send You"
The Mission Sunday celebration and collection will take place on this weekend of October 15/16th. Mission Sunday is about supporting Young Churches and missionaries in meeting the spiritual and material needs of their communities. Mission Sunday is one day of the year which is set aside for Catholics worldwide to recommit themselves to the Church’s missionary activity through prayer, through sacrifice and a financial gift.
St. Therese of Lisieux, together with St. Francis Xavier, is the patron of missions.

Text Box: Sunday Scripture

God is to have our primary loyalty. To what do we owe our primary duty: God's commands or the values of this world? As Christians, we need to get this dimension of our lives correct if all the rest is going to fit into place. Following God's laws and living by gospel values are to be our primary concerns.
Isaiah reminds the Chosen People that even Cyrus, the great Persian king, was ultimately subject to the power and authority of God. In today's second reading, Paul reminds us that we have been chosen by God, and that our ultimate hope lies in Him. The Gospel reminds us that honoring God need not be in conflict with being a good citizen.

Text Box: This week’s second collection will be for the World Mission Appeal. Last week’s second collection for the Bishop’s Appeal totaled $ 820.00. Next week’s 2nd collection will be for the Parish Development Fund. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF OUR PARISH. MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
