Text Box: ADVENT – BEGINNING OF THE NEW
LITURGICAL YEAR.
The Church has her own special liturgical year and calendar in which she presents the history and mysteries of our salvation, from Creation to the Second Coming, together with the entire life of the Savior. Each Sunday and feast will present a special lesson to us for our daily living. The First Sunday of Advent is therefore the Church's "New Year's Day". In the Judeo-Christian tradition, Sunday begins at sundown of the day before; when the faithful celebrate First Vespers. We start Advent this Saturday, November 28th 5.00pm Holy Mass.

FIRST THURSDAY & FRIDAY & SATURDAY
This week we celebrate First Thursday - December 3rd - a day of special prayer for our priests, religious & seminarians. After 6.00PM Holy Mass, we expose the Blessed Sacrament and we celebrate THE HOLY HOUR. First Friday - December 4th. After the Holy Masses, we expose the Blessed Sacrament and recite the Litany to the Sacred Heart, followed by Benediction. Extra Mass for home schooling children & their parents at 9.30AM. Other Parishioners are also welcome to come and to pray with us if you have time. First Saturday - December 5th - after 8.00AM Mass, there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the Litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary will be recited.

BLESSING OF EXPECTANT MOTHERS
Will be next weekend, December 6/7 during Sat. 5.00PM, Sunday 8.30 & 10.30AM Masses.
Text Box: Sunday Scripture Christ is King over all creation. Christ reigns over all creation. From His throne of the Cross he won for us forgiveness; by his Resurrection he defeated death. He now sits at the right hand of the Father in triumph. As His disciples, we are to make Christ the King of our lives so that we, too, may come to share in eternal life. In the first reading, Daniel has a vision of one like a Son of man who will rule over all things forever. In Revelation, we are told Jesus if the earth’s kings. He is the Alpha and the Omega-the Almighty One. In the Gospel, Pilate examines Jesus, questioning if he is a king. Jesus states that his kingship is not of this world.
