The Church has her own special liturgical year and calendar in which she presents the history and mysteries of our salvation, from Creation to the Second Coming, together with the entire life of the Savior. Each Sunday and feast will present a special lesson to us for our daily living. The First Sunday of Advent is therefore the Church's "New Year's Day". In the Judeo-Christian tradition, Sunday begins at sundown of the day before; when the faithful celebrate First Vespers. We start Advent this Saturday, November 26th 5.00pm Holy Mass.

This week we celebrate First Thursday - December 1st - a day of special prayer for our priests, religious & seminarians. After 6.00PM Holy Mass, we expose the Blessed Sacrament and we celebrate THE HOLY HOUR. First Friday - December 2nd. After the Holy Masses, we expose the Blessed Sacrament and recite the Litany to the Sacred Heart, followed by Benediction. Extra Mass for home schooling children & their parents at 9.30AM. Other Parishioners are also welcome to come and to pray with us if you have time. First Saturday - December 3rd - after 8.00AM Mass, there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the Litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary will be recited.

Text Box: Sunday Scripture
Let our voices proclaim God's glory. As we enter into Advent and prepare for Christ's return, we do so with new texts for Mass. Today we begin using the new translation of the Roman Missal. But these new Mass texts are more about continuity than change, more about Tradition than translation. Let us see these changes as an opportunity to pray with even greater fervor.
The prophet Isaiah calls God Father, and asks Him to return for the sake of your servants. In the second reading, Paul reminds the Corinthians that the grace of God will keep them steadfast until Christ's return. In the Gospel, Jesus reminds His disciples to be watchful and alert, for they do not know the hour when the Master will return.

Text Box: This week’s second collection will be for the Parish Development Fund. Last week’s 2nd collection for the Campaign for Human Development totaled $ 654.00. Next week’s 2nd collection will be for the Building Fund. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF OUR PARISH. MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
