Text Box: Sunday Scripture
The Lord is coming soon. As we come near to the end of this liturgical year, we are reminded that the end is coming soon. Our Catechism reminds us: Since the Ascension Christ's coming in glory has been imminent, even though 'it is not for you to know times or seasons which the father has fixed by his own authority' (673). As we gather to worship this day, may we always be prepared for the coming of the Lord.
Today's reading from Daniel reminds us to keep the faith so that those who are written in the book shall escape. The selection from the Letter to the Hebrews reminds us of the forgiveness of sins, offered by the Great High Priest Jesus. The Gospel from Mark tells us to be ready and watchful as Christ will gather his faithful followers from the four winds.
Text Box: This week’s second collection will be for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. Last week’s 2nd collection for the Bishop’s Appeal totaled $ 987.00. Next week’s 2nd collection will be for the Parish Development Fund. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
