Text Box: PRAYER FOR ALL THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED During the month of November, we are praying every day 1 decade of the Rosary after all Holy Masses for all the faithful departed. We are able to receive a Partial Indulgence and offer this indulgence for the deceased. An indulgence, applicable only to the Souls in Purgatory, is granted to the faithful, who devoutly visit a church or cemetery and pray, even if only mentally, for the departed. Conditions for Indulgences are as follows: Confession, Holy Communion, prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father: Our Father & Hail Mary. REQUIESCANT IN PACE. THE CATHOLIC VOICE – COLLECTION THIS SUNDAY November 16th. This weekend is the annual second collection for the Catholic Voice. Your donation helps our parish offset its payments for this important communication ministry. The Voice is the only regular source of Catholic news and information delivered to all registered parishioners. Please be generous in your support. Our Parish is assessed $4,200.00 per year. Text Box: Sunday Scripture Followers of Christ are to live in Vigilant and prayerful preparation for his return in glory. Christ calls us to live boldly for him; to take risks for our faith. We are not to bury our faith within our own hearts, but use it to build up the Kingdom of God on earth. We are to share it with others so that it can grow, not only in us, but all around us. Today, let us look for ways to take some risks for the building up of God’s Kingdom. Our first reading describes the woman who stands in God’s favor as industrious and praiseworthy, spending her days in service to God and humankind. Paul reminds all Christians to be vigilant and preserving as we wait for the return of Christ. The Gospel tells us that we will each give an account to the Lord of how we used our God-given gifts.
