Text Box: Last week, the second collection for the Bishop’s Appeal Fund amounted to $1,112.00.

This week, the 2nd collection is for the Catholic Voice.

Next week, the 2nd collection will be for the Parish Development Fund.

During the month of November, we will pray every day, 1 decade of the Rosary after Novus Ordo Holy Masses for all the faithful departed and a Novena (9 days) of Holy Masses will be said for their intentions. We sent letters to all our registered parishioners with special forms for these Holy Masses. Additional forms with a schedule of these Holy Masses are available at all church entrances. Please, write their names on the enclosed form, and send it back to the Parish Office. These forms will be inserted in the special Book of Remembrance that will be placed in the Chapel of Our Lady on the left-hand side of the Altar during the month of November. We will also say a decade of the Rosary every day after Holy Masses, for the same intentions.

This weekend is the annual second collection for the Catholic Voice. Your donation helps our parish offset its payments for this important communication ministry. The Voice is the only regular source of Catholic news and information delivered to all registered parishioners. Please be generous in your support.
Our Parish is assessed $4,200.00 per year. Your donation helps our parish offset its payments for this important communication ministry. The next timetable of collections for the Catholic Voice will be announced in the next issue of our Bulletin. Special envelopes are available in the pew and at the Bulletin tables.

Text Box: Sunday Scripture
We are to be hospitable to everyone, following the example of Jesus. When we think of Jesus, one of the characteristics that comes to mind is his sense of hospitality, especially to the outcasts within his society. Jesus learned this from his family, his knowledge of Scriptures and his Jewish tradition. Catholic tradition has continued to value the virtue of hospitality. As faithful Catholics we are to love all people.
The plight of two nameless widows in today's first and third readings is used to emphasize God's special love for the lowliest members of society, and for those who unselfishly give. In our second reading, Paul speaks of the offering made to take away our sins. Our reconciliation with God came through Jesus, whom God exalted and glorified.
