Children of the First Holy Communion Class 2011, will have their TOUR OF CHURCH with explanation on this Sunday, November 14, 2010 after the 8.30am Holy Mass; to better understand our services and see from a short distance all items we have in the church. It is their next step in preparation to receive two Holy Sacraments: Confession and Holy Communion.

International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church
Today on Nov. 14, 2010, we can join the fight on behalf of the persecuted church through the power of prayer.
Few people are aware of the fact that Christian persecution is one of the worst humanitarian crises in modern history. Many don’t know that, each year, untold millions of people around the world suffer the brunt of religious injustice through intimidation, ostracism, false imprisonment, physical abuse, torture, and even martyrdom simply because of their personal faith in Jesus Christ.
Over 100,000 U.S. churches from nearly every denomination and Christians in over 130 countries around the world have participated in the event. Time and again, the very first thing that a persecuted Christian will ask for is prayer. There are many effective things we can pray for on behalf of our suffering brothers and sisters in Christ.
Text Box: Sunday Scripture

Even though we experience difficult times, we are to remain faithful to God. Throughout the readings for this we are instructed to persevere in our faith, even amidst adversity and difficulty. Jesus promises that those who remain faithful, who keep their focus on Christ, and who persevere, help secure a place for themselves in heaven. The faithful can be assured that the sun of justice will shine on them.
Today's first reading warns that one day the proud and the evildoers will face dire consequences, but the faithful will be rewarded by God. In the second reading, the faithful are advised to persist in living as Paul taught them. In the Gospel, Jesus warns of terrible times to come, but those who persevere in faith will be saved.
