Text Box: FIRST THURSDAY, FRIDAY & SATURDAY This week we celebrate – First Thursday June 4th - a day of special prayer for our priests, religious & seminarians. After 6.00PM Holy Mass, we expose the Blessed Sacrament and we celebrate THE HOLY HOUR. First Friday - June 5th. After the Holy Masses, we expose the Blessed Sacrament and recite the Litany to the Sacred Heart, followed by Benediction. An extra Mass for home-schooling children & their parents will be at 9:30 AM. Other parishioners are also welcome to come and to pray with us. First Saturday - June 7th. After 8.00AM Mass, there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the Litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary will be recited. BLESSING OF EXPECTANT MOTHERS Will take place next weekend, Saturday, June 6, at 5:00 PM, and Sunday, June 6, at the 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM Masses. Text Box: Sunday Scripture God is love, and we were created so we could share in that love. Love and prayer are like two sides of one coin. Can we love God without praying to him? Can we genuinely pray to God without knowing his love for us? Love usually moves us to interact with the ones we love, helping that love flourish. Prayer is our interaction with God, and can help us tell him how deeply we love him. From Acts we hear that the whole assembly prays to select a replacement for Judas. Matthias is chosen to fill the role of Apostle. The second reading teaches that those who abide in love abide in God and God in them. In the Gospel, Jesus prays for his disciples. He asks his Father to guard them from the evil one and to consecrate them in truth.
