Text Box: Sunday Scripture:

Christ Jesus must be the cornerstone upon which we build our lives. In discerning how best to lead our lives in this world, Jesus reveals that he is the foundation for any great work. He is the way and the truth and the life. Service to the poor or efforts toward social justice must first be rooted in a relationship with Christ, who points us to the will of the Father. In the first reading today, the Apostles establish the office of the diaconate for the distribution of wealth to widows in need. In the second reading, Peter speaks of Christ as the cornerstone. In today's Gospel according to John, Jesus tells the disciples that he is the way to the Father. Whoever sees Jesus sees the Father.

This week’s second collection will be for Catholic Charities. Last week’s second collection for the Bishop’s Appeal  Fund totaled $ 1,009.00. Next week’s second collection will be for Insurance and Diocesan Assesment. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY AND SUPPORT!   MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
