Text Box: Sunday Scripture:

We cannot let false promises, deception, and lies guide us during Lent. The serpent in the Garden and the Devil in the desert offer us shortcuts in the spiritual life. Their words lead to dead ends as Paul might say. The singular disobedience of Adam and Eve began the sad story of evil entering our world. Only through one man's obedience can we begin to overcome lies, deception, false promises and death. The reading from the Book of Genesis tells of man's creation and the sin of Adam and Eve. Paul exhorts us to become just in the eyes of God. In his gospel message, Matthew summarizes the many temptations Jesus suffered after fasting in the desert for forty days.

This week’s second collection will be for the Bishop’s Appeal. Last week’s second collection for the Building Fund totaled $ 916.00. Next week’s second collection will be for the Catholic Relief Services and Bishops Overseas Appeal.

 THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
