Sunday Scripture If we allow the Spirit of Christ to direct us, we will share in the Resurrection. Our faith calls us to acknowledge the Spirit of God working in the life and ministry of Jesus. The Spirit was with Jesus throughout his life, as he healed and forgave their sins. Faith calls us to allow the Spirit, which dwells in us, to move us to live in holiness, so that we may share in the eternal life Christ won for us. Through the prophet Ezekiel, God promises to raise his people from the dead. Paul reminds us that we must allow the Spirit of Christ to work in us if our mortal bodies are to share in the Resurrection. The Gospel tells us of the raising of Lazarus, clearly showing that Jesus is the Lord of Life. |
