SVDPS The St. Vincent de Paul Conference continues to furnish confidential financial aid to needy parishioners. Thanks to your generous donations on Ash Wednesday, we were able to make contributions of $400 (each) to the Oakland free dining room, the Campion Men's Center, and the Family Visitation Center. These programs assist the needy in the Oakland area and are operated directly by the St. Vincent de Paul District Council of Alameda County. The next St. Vincent de Paul Sunday collections are March 29th and May 31. Parishioners interested in joining our conference may contact Bill Duffy at (510) 970-1545. "THEOLOGY OF THE BODY FOR TEENS" A new series starting in March, features candid discussions about God's plan for love and life as a young person and airs Thursdays at 8:30 Pm and 11:30 PM (1/2 hour). OUR NEW BISHOP Last Monday, March 23rd His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, appointed auxiliary Bishop of San Diego diocese; the Most Reverend Salvatore Cordileone as our new Bishop of Oakland diocese. Congratulations. Please pray for him in your daily prayers; may God bless him in his new ministry in our diocese; leading us to Our Lord.
