Sunday Scripture

All things are made new through the mercy of God shown to us through Jesus Christ. The power of God's mercy can restore all things to newness of life. We come to know more clearly God's mercy through his Son, Jesus, who redeems and restores all things through his death and resurrection. Through faith in Jesus we grow in holiness and strive to attain newness of life as we share in his Resurrection. Isaiah calls the people to recognize how God brings all things to a newness of life. Having become a new person in Christ, Paul expresses the value of a life with Christ and the hope of resurrection. Jesus tells a crowd about to stone an adulterous woman that the one among them who is without sin should cast the first stone.
