Text Box: Sunday Scripture: Lent is not merely a time for spiritual renewal but also a time to show our compassion and care for others. Lent offers us a time to renew ourselves in faith by growing in prayer and reflection and in our relationship with Jesus. This can be done by increased familiarity with Scripture, private and community prayer and celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We are also to grow our faith through our charity and compassion for others. In the Book of Genesis, Abram makes an act of faith in God and goes to where he has called him to journey. Paul tells of the strength to bear hardship that comes from God. In today's Gospel, Peter, James, and John are present for the Transfiguration of our Lord.

This week’s second collection will be for the Catholic Relief Services and Bishops Overseas Appeal.  Last week’s second collection for the Bishop’s Appeal totaled $ 1,105. The Ash Wednesday Collection for SVdPS totaled $ 1,724.00.  Next week’s second collection will be for the Insurance and Assessments. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY AND SUPPORT!   MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
