ST. ANN’S GUILD CORNER !!!

Lenten Soup Suppers

Thank you to everyone who participated in the last two Lenten Suppers.  Approximately 50 people attended.  The suppers will continue to take place in the parish hall every Friday of Lent (except for Good Friday) from 6pm to 8:30 pm.  Please sign up if you want to attend so we know how much soup and bread we need.

Many contributors are needed for this project, so as to share the work.  If there are not enough volunteers, there will be no supper that Friday.

This is what is needed:

Set-up group:  1 individual or family opens up hall at 5:30 pm and sets up kitchen end of hall with 6-8 tables and chairs around each table.

Soup group
:  3 individuals or families bring 3 kinds of meatless soup, each enough to serve 20+ servings (more is better- people are hungry by the end of the day and will eat-even during Lent:)

Bread group
:  Another 2-3 individuals or families bring some kind of bread/rolls to have with the soup.

Clean up group
:  1 family or 2 individuals will clean up kitchen and counter area at approximately 8 pm until the end.  Clean up is minimal, but someone needs to do it!! Put chairs and wiped tables away, sweep hall if necessary.

Hall and supper should be ready to serve starting at 6 pm and will continue until 8:30 pm or until soup runs out.  Everyone is invited- just sign up!

If you need more info please contact Lily Mullen at lily.mullen@gmail.com or phone (925)827-1946.  Thank you.

Sign up sheets to take part in these suppers are in the vestibule of the church as well as on the front table in the hall.
