On Sunday, March 15, the First Holy Communion Children, Class of 2009, of St. Margaret Mary will be presented with crucifixes. As we meditate on the suffering and death of Our Lord on the Cross for our salvation during Lent, let us pray for these children as they continue to prepare to receive the Body and Blood in Holy Communion in May. Pray also for their families and catechists.

ST, ANN’S GUILD CORNER !!!

LENTEN SOUP SUPPERS
Lenten Soup Suppers will be shared in the parish hall every Friday of Lent (except for Good Friday) from 6 pm to 8 pm. Please RSVP so we know how much soup and bread we need.

Many contributors are needed for this project, so as to share the work. If there are not enough volunteers, there will be no supper that Friday. This is what is needed:

Set-up group:  2 individuals or 2 families open up hall at 5:30 pm and set up kitchen end of hall with 4-6 tables and chairs.
Another 2 individuals or families bring 2 kinds of meatless soup, each enough to serve 20+ servings (more is better).
Another 2 individuals or families bring some kind of bread/rolls to have with the soup.

Clean up group:  1 family or 2 individuals will clean up kitchen and counter area (should be minimal if soups were made at home and then brought in), put some chairs and tables away, sweep hall if necessary.
Hall and dinner should be ready to serve starting at 6 PM and will continue until 8 PM (more or less).
Although many will attend Mass at 6 PM and Stations of the Cross following, some, especially those with young children might wish to go to the hall and eat, and then come up for the Stations.  We thought it would be helpful if families have a place to go, if they need to during the Mass/Stations. If you would like to bring soup, or bread please contact Lily Mullen at lily.mullen@gmail.com or phone (925)827-1946. Thank you.
Text Box: Sign up sheets to take part in these suppers are in the vestibule of the church as well as on the front table in the hall.

ST. ANNE’S GUILD MEETING
