On First Friday, March  6th, after the Holy Masses, we expose the Blessed Sacrament and recite the Litany to the Sacred Heart, followed by Benediction. An extra Mass for home-schooling children & their parents will be at 9:30 AM. Other parishioners are also welcome to come and to pray with us.

On the First Saturday, March 7th, after the 8:00 AM Mass, there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, and the Litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary will be recited.

Lenten Vespers (sung Evening Prayer) about the sufferings and death of Our Lord Jesus Christ will be celebrated every Sunday of Lent at 5:00 PM; followed by Benediction and Holy Mass. Please come and invite others to participate in this beautiful Vespers. Stations of the Cross are recited every Friday after the Holy Masses.

Text Box: Sunday Scripture

Entering into the desert of Lent with Jesus can lead us to new life. This first Sunday of Lent calls us to enter the desert with Jesus. The sacrifices we make can free us to come closer to Jesus so that we can be better witnesses of the Good News. They can also help purify our hearts, that we might be found worthy one day to enter into eternal life. In today's first reading, God makes a promise to Noah that he will never destroy all life by flood again. The rainbow is the sign of this promise. In the second reading, Peter shows the connection between the great flood of Noah's time and Baptism. In the Gospel, after spending time in the desert, Jesus begins his public ministry.
