Text Box: Sunday Scripture:

Sunday Scripture: Through our trials and travails on our pilgrimage to heaven, Jesus remains with us in the Blessed Sacrament. Just as the Lord fed the people of Israel with manna on their journey across the desert to the Promised Land, so he feeds the new Israel, his Church, with himself in the Eucharist to give us the grace we need to be one with him in eternal life. Today's first reading recalls the trials the Israelites faced in the desert and how the Lord remained with them along the way. The second reading teaches that the Church becomes the body of Christ in the Eucharist. In today's Gospel, Jesus reveals that he is the Bread of Life which gives those who eat it life that will not end.

This week’s second collection will be for the Diocesan Assessments &  Insurance.
