Text Box: Sunday Scripture

Jesus sows the seed of God's word in our hearts, that we may bear great fruit for His Kingdom. Seeds that take root in one season eventually start to show signs of life. Fields once dormant become verdant. Flowerbeds display their colors. Similarly, the seed of God's word takes root in our lives. We can look and see it grow before the eyes of our hearts. If we nurture God's word, it can bear great fruit for His Kingdom.
The prophet Ezekiel encourages the Jewish people using the image of a majestic cedar, planted high on a mountain. Paul speaks of living rightly so as to be home one day in heaven with the Lord. Jesus teaches about the Kingdom of God in the two gospel parables of the scattered seed and the mustard seed.
