Text Box: Sunday Scripture

We are sent out by Holy Mother Church with the Good News of Jesus Christ. It has been said that the Church can be compared to Jerusalem which was regarded as a loving mother to the Jewish people. Just as babies find comfort on the laps of their mothers, so are we to find comfort in our relationship with the Church, our Holy Mother. The first reading tells of how the Lord will spread prosperity over Jerusalem like a river. Paul, in the second reading, tells the Galatians that his body bears the marks of Jesus. In today's Gospel, the seventy-two disciples are sent out in pairs ahead of Jesus and return rejoicing.

This week’s second collection will be for the Building Fund.

Last week’s 2nd collection for SVdPS totaled $1,105.00.

Next week’s 2nd collection will be for the Bishop’s Appeal.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
