Text Box: Sunday Scripture:

The power of God is his mercy. The Lord desires that we be with him in eternity, but he will not violate our consciences in the process. For that reason, he allows us to make mistakes and then offers us his mercy. The experience of the mercy of God teaches us about his love and invites us to love our neighbors as well. In the first reading, the author of the Book of Wisdom tells us that God’s power is kind and merciful. Saint Paul teaches in Romans that the Holy Spirit helps our weakness. Matthew’s Gospel today relates the story of the wheat and weeds, where the imperfections of life are allowed for the sake of the faithful.

This week’s second collection will be for Latin America/Catholic University.  Last weeks second collection for the Bishop’s Appeal totaled $ 1,112.00. Next week’s second collection will be for Diocesan Assessments & Insurance.

   THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
