Text Box: Sunday Scripture
God is patient with us. When we repent of our sins and turn to the Lord with a contrite heart, he forgives us. He is patient and gentle as he continually provides us with the grace we need to grow in holiness, that we might come to share eternal life in heaven. We must, however, open ourselves to all He offers us.
Today's first reading declares how God's power is matched by his goodness, caring and forgiveness. In the second reading, we hear that the Holy Spirit comes to our aid and intercedes for us. In the Gospel, Jesus uses parables to remind us that, no matter how things may look, God's judgment is just and his Kingdom will prevail.
