PLEASE PRAY WITH US THIS LITANY, OR PRIVATELY IN YOUR HOME 91st ANNIVERSARY OF THE APPARITION OF OUR LADY AT FATIMA; 1917—2007 Every year from May to October in many Catholic Parishes around the world, Catholics celebrate the anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady to three Portuguese children: Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia. We plan to celebrate Fatima Services in our church every month with Holy Mass, the Rosary in different languages, and a candlelight procession. The Fatima Service will be this Sunday, July 13th 2007 at 7.30PM. Please save this date and inform others. CARMEL“ PARISH BBQ - THIS SUNDAY, Text Box: Sunday Scripture All our words and actions are to bear good fruit. Throughout Matthew’s Gospel, there are a number of parables. In today’s Gospel, Jesus gives us a parable and explains the lesson he wants us to earn. He teaches us that our lives must resemble the rich soil, ready to have the seed of faith grow in us. We are not only to hear the word of God, but act on it and live it out every day. In the reading from Isaiah we hear how God has a plan for his word to grow and become fruitful among his people. Jesus, in the Gospel, illustrates how the word of God grows in hearts that are open to it. Paul tells the community at Rome that they may undergo suffering, but it can lead to glory in the life to come.
