Text Box: Sunday Scripture

We are to share the light of Christ with our world. The story of the Magi is so familiar and yet can still fill us with wonder. As did the ancient Magi, we, too, want to bring our gifts to the manger. These gifts are our commitments to live according to how Jesus taught. Thus, we make the meaning of the Epiphany alive for us today and the light and love of God shines through us and is made manifest in our world.
In the first reading, Isaiah describes how the shining light and love of God will come upon Jerusalem. The second reading affirms that all God's people are to be members of God's community and sharers of the promise of salvation. The Gospel recounts the familiar story of the Magi's visit to the child Jesus in the manger in Bethlehem.
Text Box: This week’s second collection will be for the Building Fund.
Last week’s 2nd collection for the SVDPS Fund totaled $ 2,960.
Next week’s 2nd collection will be for the Bishop’s Appeal.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH! MAY GOD REWARD YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!
