Text Box: Sunday Scripture:

Today we celebrate God making himself known to the whole world in human form. In many parishes today, a familiar hymn will echo the words telling of the star of wonder leading to the perfect light (We Three Kings by John H. Hopkins Jr.). We follow that light to the place of Jesus' birth to bring the gift of ourselves by our willingness to follow him and his teachings. We continue to show the gift of Jesus' humanity to the world. In the first reading we hear from Isaiah how the glory of the Lord shines upon Jerusalem. In the second reading, Paul tells the people that the Gentiles are co-heirs with the Jews and share in the promise of Christ. In the Gospel, we hear the familiar story of the Magi's journey to the birthplace of the Christ Child in Bethlehem.

This week’s second collection will be for the Building Fund.  Last week’s second collection for SVdPS totaled $1,350.00. Next week’s Second collection will be for the Bishop’s Appeal.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
