ALMS GIVING
Many people around the world are hungry every day. They have no chance to satisfy their hunger even once. Every time of the year is good to share. Our Lord Jesus said: “I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me”!!!. Please share whatever you have with others, who are less fortunate than you. We are collecting imperishable food items for the Saint Vincent de Paul Society to feed the hungry people in Oakland.
In the vestibule of our church barrels for food are placed. PLEASE SHARE YOUR FOOD WITH HUNGRY PEOPLE.

Why are we doing this? This is a parish event which will raise funds for our parish to purchase a sacred object for our own Cathedral of Christ the Light. The sacred object to be purchased will be in keeping with the traditional values in our own St. Margaret Mary Church. Sacred objects for use in a Cathedral are not inexpensive and the funds we raise will help us make this purchase.

“Regardless whether you like the look of the Cathedral of Christ the Light or not, it is OUR CATHEDRAL, already built, and will stand long after we’re all gone. The gift of the sacred object our parish intends to make will only bless it, and make it more beautiful as it will reflect the traditional values of our parish and the tradition of our Church. Please support this effort and make a difference!!”
Attention Mystic Krewe Members (that’s all MG volunteers)! Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, January 28 at 7 pm to finalize the details of the party. Please contact me if you have questions. at lily.mullen@gmail.com or (925)827-1946. Lily
