CAN YOU HELP A PARISHIONER?
One of our parishioners requires medication which is not covered by Medicare or Medicaid, which costs approximately $250.00 per month. If you are interested in helping pay for this, please make out a check to SVdP with annotation of “medical expense” and put it into any weekend collection or send to the Parish Office.

CHURCH IN CENTRAL & EASTERN EUROPE COLLECTION
Catholics in Central and Eastern Europe need your help to continue to revitalize the Church and to foster the Spirit of Love in their parishes and communities.
In 28 countries throughout Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, the Collection funds vital pastoral and social projects and contributes to programs that promote Catholic life.
Please be generous in today’s Collection for the Church in Central and Eastern Europe. Believe in the power of the Spirit of Love.

Text Box: Sunday Scripture
Our reward will be great in heaven if we follow Jesus while we are on earth. The promise of a better life after death is never an excuse to fail to work for the building up of God's Kingdom here on earth. Christ's followers have an obligation to be about the work of the Kingdom. We do this through our love and humble service to God and our neighbor.
In today's first reading, the prophet Jeremiah proclaims that the Lord will bless those who trust in him, but those who turn from the Lord will be cursed. In our second reading, Paul teaches that Christ's Resurrection assures us that we also will be raised. In today's Gospel, Jesus promises a heavenly reward for those who live out the Beatitudes.
