Text Box: Sunday Scripture

Jesus will come in splendor. Advent is a time of anticipation. We look forward to the return of Christ in glory as we reflect on our lives, our spirituality, and even our failings. Reconciliation and daily prayer are wonderful ways to prepare for the day of the Lord. Set aside the hustle and bustle; take some quiet time each day to focus on just what we have as believers.
In today's readings, Baruch describes God's blessing on the city of Jerusalem, and Paul prays that all may be ready for the day of the Lord. John the Baptist proclaims a baptism of repentance which will prepare the people to listen to Jesus and to accept his ways in their hearts.
