Text Box: HOLY FAMILY FEAST - BLESSING OF MARRIED COUPLES - The feast of the Holy Family has been celebrated by the universal church only since 1920. Originally celebrated on the third Sunday after Epiphany, it is now observed on the Sunday between Christmas and January 1.

Devotion to the Holy Family became popular after the 16th century. The theme of family, and this feast dedicated to it, is of special importance today in the face of challenges to the contemporary family. Many parishes offer families an opportunity to renew their love for each other as part of the liturgy.

Today on Saturday, December 27, at 5:00pm and Sunday December 28, at 8:30am & 10:30am in our parish, there will be the renewal of marital vows.

Dear Parishioners and Friends
of St. Margaret Mary Church!

Christ is born!!! - Glorify Him !!!

We are approaching the New Year 2009. May Mary, Mother of God, whose Feast we celebrate on January 1st, keep all of you always in her motherly care and may Her Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, bless you with good health, happiness, prosperity, and true joy that comes only from God. May He bring PEACE (January 1st is also the day of Prayer for Peace) to your hearts and souls, so we can love God and our neighbors ever more. May He bring peace to our families and all the nations of the world. May He bless all Benefactors & Supporters of our Parish
We wish you Blessings and protection bestowed by the Child Jesus in the coming New Year, 2009. May He bring peace to our families and all the nations of the world.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009

Text Box: Sunday Scripture
By being born into a human family, the Son of God has blessed every family. As we continue to celebrate Christmas, the emphasis in our readings turns to making Christ come alive in our daily lives. We are challenged to live the Gospel in the present, among our family and friends. A holy family, for example, is one where love and tenderness abound; where its members feel secure and confident; where they know that they are loved.
Today’s first reading teaches how family members are to show love for one another. The second reading extends this teaching to the Church as our family. In the Gospel, Joseph and Mary hear amazing words about the newborn Jesus. Two holy people, Simeon and Anna are filled with the Holy Spirit and tell them about the destiny of the child Jesus.
