Text Box: Sunday Scripture:
Yearn for Christ's coming into your everyday life. The eternal life of heaven is utterly different from our life here and now. Nonetheless, Christ plants in our hearts a great longing for this eternal life with him. Advent is a season for us to grow in our desire for Christ to come and lead us to this eternal life. Isaiah tells us all people are drawn to God and his life of peace, not just the chosen Israelites. Paul, in his Letter to the Romans, says salvation is close to us and we reach it by putting on Christ. Finally, Christ says that we do not know the day or time of the Judgment Day, so we should always be prepared for its coming.

This week’s second collection will be for the Building Fund. Last week’s 2nd collection for the Parish  Liability Insurance and Diocesan Assessment totaled  $ 730.00.  Next week’s 2nd collection will be for the Religious Retirement Fund.
