Text Box: 93rd ANNIVERSARY OF APPARITION OF OUR LADY  AT FATIMA;
1917ó2010

       Every year from May to October in many Catholic Parishes around the world, Catholics celebrate the anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady to three Portuguese children: Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia.

       We plan to celebrate Fatima Services in our church every month with Holy Mass, the Rosary in different languages, and a procession with the statue of the Blessed Lady of Fatima inside the church.

       The Fatima Service will be this Friday, August 13th 2010 at 7.30PM.

       Please save this date and inform others.

DONíT TAKE A VACATION FROM
CHURCH AND GOD
Text Box: Sunday Scripture
               Let our faith be firm that we may be prepared to stand before the Lord and know His peace. In living our faith, we are to reach beyond human nature and live our lives in constant readiness to stand before the Lord. As we learn to depend more upon God, we can overcome fear. God wants us to keep our focus on Him, and seek out and to do His will, so we will not be overwhelmed by anxiety, but rather, filled with His peace.
      Today's first reading recalls the faith the Israelites had placed in God and the blessings they received from Him. In Hebrews, a firm faith is praised as evidence of things not seen. In today's Gospel, Jesus teaches about dependence upon God for everything, and that we are to live our faith in constant readiness for our Lord's return in glory.
