Text Box: Sunday Scripture

Grow rich in the sight of God. All who follow the way of Christ wrestle with setting priorities. Filling a bigger barn, adding to a stock portfolio, increasing a market share, working a second job; these cannot dominate one's life. Each one of us must set aside working for earthly goods to do the spiritual and corporal works of mercy that make us rich in the sight of God. The author of Ecclesiastes reminds us that we cannot take worldly wealth with us when we die. It will go to another. Paul tells us that we are to seek the higher things and form ourselves into the image of God. Jesus bluntly teaches that greed and wealth do not guarantee us long life. Death can come at any time.

This week’s second collection will be for the Building Fund. Last week’s 2nd collection for Assessments & Insurance totaled $ 850.00. Next week’s 2nd collection will be for the Bishop’s Appeal.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!  MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
