FIRST THURSDAY, FRIDAY

& SATURDAY

     This week we celebrate –First Thursday - September 4th - a day of special prayer for our priests, religious & seminarians. After 6.00PM Holy Mass, we expose the Blessed Sacrament and we celebrate THE HOLY HOUR.  First Friday - September 5th. After the Holy Masses, we expose the Blessed Sacrament and recite the Litany to the Sacred Heart, followed by Benediction. Extra Mass for home schooling children & their parents at 9.30AM. Other Parishioners are also welcomed to come and to pray with us if you have  time. First Saturday - September 6th - after 8.00AM Mass, there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the Litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary will be recited.

Sunday Scripture

           When we give our lives over to Christ we give them over to the will of God. Our life of faith can begin with a  desire to know God and his promise of everlasting life. When we are moved to know His will for our lives and strive to unite ourselves with his will it can become a driving force within us. We then seek to bring God’s will to fruition. Despite doubts and struggles, the Holy Spirit keeps calling and inviting us to do the will of God.

           Jeremiah struggles with his prophetic call. Yet he cannot resist the power of God moving him to speak the word God gave him. Paul encourages us to offer to God the sacrifice of a holy life. Jesus reveals the destiny of his death to the disciples, and teaches them that their lives must be united with his sacrifice.
