Text Box: Sunday Scripture

Faithful love and loyal commitment will stand firm in the face of adversity. In the past twenty years or so the family tragedy of divorce has become commonplace. The problem stems not from a lack of love but from a lack of loyalty. Building loyalty takes work, it cannot be created by compulsion and force or by the kind of commitment that has a built-in escape hatch. Marriage is more than a commitment–it is a covenant.
Joshua asked the Israelites to renew their commitment and loyalty to God. Paul tells the Ephesians that the bond of marriage is to be modeled on the love that Christ has for the Church.
Text Box: This week’s second collection will be for the Parish Development Fund. Last week’s 2nd collection for the Mission-Co-Op Appeal totaled $ 2,281.00. Next week’s 2nd collection will be for the Building Fund. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
