Text Box: ALTAR BOY TRAINING For those boys interested in deepening their understanding and ability to serve God in the Liturgy there will be an All-Day Altar Boy Training Session, on Tuesday, August 26th, from 9:00am to 4:00pm here at St. Margaret Mary Church. Lunch will be provided. Our Bishop: the Most Reverend Allen Vigneron like to visit us during lunch time. It is a Catholic Boys greatest Honor to serve our Lord. New Servers are welcomed to attend. There Text Box: Sunday Scripture Jesus entrusted Peter with the keys to the Kingdom of heaven. When Jesus gave Peter the responsibility to build and lead his Church, he also gave him the authority to name successors to this authority. Today, let us give special thought to our Pope, Benedict, and pray for him as he carries on the challenging task of being the one whom Jesus has called to lead his Church. In the first reading, we hear that God gave Eliakim authority over the House of David. In the Gospel, Jesus gives authority to Peter, as head of the Church. This happens after Peter proclaims that Jesus is the Son of the living God. In the reading from Paul, we are reminded that God is the ultimate authority over all things.
