Bossi Text Box: ALTAR BOY TRAINING For those boys interested in deepening their understanding and ability to serve God in the Liturgy there will be an All-Day Altar Boy Training Session, on Tuesday, August 26th, from 9:00am to 4:00pm here at St. Margaret Mary Church. Lunch will be provided. It is a Catholic Boys greatest Honor to serve our Lord. New Servers are welcomed to attend. Come and meet the Pastor and other Altar Boys. Learn to: Build responsibility, appreciation of the liturgy, dedication to the Church, Tour the church, and learn to serve for Processions & Benedictions etc. For questions and registration, please contact Valerie Burkart at: valzb@sbcglobal.net or 925-875-0281. CCD and RCIA Our CCD & RCIA programs will be restarting next month.  Sign up forms are available in the vestibule of the church. The first class will begin on September, always at 9:30 am. Date of the first meeting TBA next week. The classes offered will be the preparation classes for the sacraments:  First Communion, Confirmation and RCIA. If there is sufficient interest we may offer a 4-5 grade level class.  RCIA ENROLLMENT All adults who are interested in becoming Catholic or being fully initiated in the Church (maybe your spouses, relatives, friends, neighbors), are urged to contact Parish Office as soon as possible. Sept. 3rd & Thursday, Sept. 4th from 6 am to 7:30 pm each day at Mater Dolorosa School in South San Francisco. We need your help to answer phone calls, run errands, or help with hospitality. MISSION CO-OP APPEAL Text Box: Sunday Scripture All that is asked of us is that we have faith in Christ Jesus. When we first listen to the words of Jesus today, they might strike us as being unfair. Is Jesus really being mean to the Canaanite woman because she is not Jewish? Perhaps Jesus knew that this woman would be persistent in her request and it gave him a teachable moment to show that the Kingdom of God is, indeed, for all people. In the first reading, the prophet Isaiah tells us that all people are included in God’s plan of salvation. In Paul’s letter, he teaches that salvation through Jesus is available to both Jews and Gentiles, for the Father is merciful to all who believe.
