Text Box: Sunday Scripture

God works in many ways to give us the strength we need. God not only calls us to do his will, he also gives us the strength to accomplish it. He strengthens us through Scripture, through the graces of the sacraments, and through the power of the Holy Spirit. When we open ourselves to accept these gifts, we experience God's grace and love working within us.
The first reading tells of God providing food and drink to Elijah who was exhausted and too disheartened to continue his mission. Paul calls the Ephesians to be firm in the Holy Spirit as they imitate the Lord in love. In the Gospel, Jesus teaches that he is the living bread come down from heaven.

Text Box: This week’s second collection will be for the Bishop’s Appeal. Last week’s 2nd collection for the Building Fund totaled $ 766.00. Next week’s 2nd collection will be for the Mission Co-Op Appeal. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! MAY GOD REWARD YOUR GENEROSITY.
