Each year, World Day of Prayer for Vocations is held on the 4th Sunday of Easter. This year it is on April 13th. In 1963, Pope Paul VI designated this day as World Day of Prayer for Vocations. During our weekend Masses, we will pray especially for those men and women who have served, and are serving, God’s people as priests, deacons, religious sisters and brothers, and that many more will join them. On April 13th, we invite you take some time to think of someone (a family member, friend, or parishioner) whom God may be calling to join the next generation of priests, sisters or brothers. Pray for that person during that weekend.
The Thursday before the First Friday of each month in our church at 7:00PM during Holy Hour, we pray for our priests, religious & seminarians and for the new vocations. Please come and join us.
PARISH EASTER PARTY – SUNDAY, APRIL 6 – after all Holy Masses.
Today, Sunday April 6 we invite all our Parishioners to the Parish Hall to share Blessed Easter Food.
Dear Parishioners,
Please join us the weekend of April 19/20, 2008 to hear Rev. John C. Fabian, O.P. speak at all the Holy Masses about a ministry providing direct relief to the poor throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
Father Fabian will share what he has witnessed about Food For The Poor mission to care for the destitute as a means of

Sunday Scripture

We rejoice in our redemption. As we contemplate the mystery of the Resurrection of Jesus, joy is a word that often comes to mind. This joy is a sign that we have been profoundly moved by opening our hearts and minds to the promise of salvation  offered by the Risen Lord. Filled with this joy, we can more convincingly tell others the good news that Jesus has redeemed us.

In two of today’s readings we hear Peter boldly proclaiming the Resurrection  of Jesus and then teaching that it was the blood of Christ that has saved us. In the Gospel, the disciples who met Jesus on the road to Emmaus, learn from him and then return to Jerusalem to tell the others that they have been with the Risen Jesus.
