Sunday Scripture

As the Good Shepherd, Jesus is the One who guides and protects us. With the Lord Jesus at our side, we have nothing to fear. He is constantly present to watch over us, and ready to assist when we need Him. It is the Lord who leads us as the Good Shepherd, and He will never abandon us. We follow Him lovingly as His beloved sheep.

In today's first reading, Peter makes a dramatic pronouncement about the Lord Jesus being the Cornerstone of our salvation. In the second reading, we are reminded that we are blessed by being able to claim to be children of God. In our Gospel, Jesus assures us that, as a shepherd guards his flock, He protects us.
