Text Box: Sunday Scripture:
The Easter symbols remind us of our life in Christ and our commitment to him. We have been purified of sin, made anew, and restored to life through the death and resurrection of Christ. The Easter symbols of water, light and the white garment are reminders of our transformation and unity with Christ. Easter celebrates what Christ has done for us and is a time to renew our sacred commitment to Christ. Peter was not afraid to give witness to the salvation that comes through the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. Paul reminds the Colossians that they have died in Christ. They are to be one with Him now and on the day of resurrection. In John's Gospel we hear the account of the first witnesses of the Resurrection and their reactions.
