THE FEAST OF DIVINE MERCY We started this Novena on Good Friday, April 10. Every day from Good Friday until the Sunday after Easter, April 19 at 3.00PM, we recite the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Next Sunday, April 19: 2.00PM—Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Rosary. The Sacrament of Confession will be administered during that time. 3.00PM - we start to sing the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, followed by Benediction; the Holy Mass will be celebrated afterwards. Please invite your relatives and friends to celebrate this Feast of Divine Mercy together. After the Mass, we will share a potluck dinner in the hall, then watch Jerzy Lukaszewicz film “Faustina” – the Mystical Life of the Visionary of Divine Mercy. Text Box: Sunday Scripture The Passion and death of Jesus are expressions of his love for us. Jesus freely chose to suffer and die so that our sins could be forgiven and we could be reconciled to the Father. The motivation our Lord had for doing this was his great love for us and his desire to be faithful to the will of his Father. By entering more deeply into our Lord’s Passion, we can come to experience more fully his great love for us. Today’s first reading describes the Suffering Servant, faithfully carrying out his duties while being subject to mistreatment, all done in obedience to God’s will. The second reading speaks of the obedience of Jesus to the will of the Father. He was obedient, even unto death. In the Gospel, we hear of the Passion and death of Jesus.
